I'm trying to locate a new wheel for this but all I can find is 7 spoke no matter how many times I count I come up with 5 or 10 spokes. The chrome is peeling off the back wheel and I would like to find a replacement. Any ideas?

Thanks

Ebay has a guy that's all he has is caddy wheels ..Go to ebay and search caddy wheels and look around ?
Are those aftermarket wheels?
That is what I am wondering. I want to find a replacement. I'm thinking they are because the options list says they are supposed to be 7 spoke.

Another option might be to find out who does the aftermarket roofs, that roof you have is also an aftermarket, probably the same company that installed the roof also did the wheels as a 'whole package' Good luck and good hunting.

So fake convertible tops were not an option on this car? I know the car came from New Jersey (carfax). First owner had it for two years 2nd had it for 6.
Maybe I’ll just have it re chromed.

I can see why you would, these are very nice rims, in fact if you go through your car, you might find other 'touches' that the 'coach builder' put in, there is usually more than rims and roof, a different type of steering wheel, more or less wood trim, some companies put different seats in, as you go along you may start to notice. I am not saying that they did but the odds are good.

Interesting, I wonder if I go to Cadillac and ask they would be able to give me that info?
I don't think Caddy would be able to help, the company that did the work would have gotten the car from the dealer already with the options that you posted, they then would have done their part, they would have removed the original rims and put the current ones on and so on.
One thought, somewhere on the car maybe the doorjamb there should be a sticker or a plate that the company that did the work (if there was one) would have put there.

I think I remember a sticker on the door when I was looking for the speed rating (H) I will go look now.

OK I think we are getting somewhere the sticker on the door says The Lansing Craft Centre.

Going to see what Google pulls up.

Not cheap, but take a look at www.wheelcollision.com in Bath, PA, above Philly. The wheels look good on the car, so they're worth saving.
Dead end they closed up :banghead:

[WIKIPEDIA]The Lansing Craft Centre was a specialized General Motors automobile assembly factory in Lansing Township, Michigan. The plant started production (as the Reatta Craft Centre)[1] [2] in 1987 and closed in 2006. At the time of its closure, the plant was 985,000 square feet in size, and employed 400 workers.[3]

The facility was originally built by GM as a foundry in 1919, and sat across Saginaw Street from the Lansing Metal Center.

The Lansing Craft Center was the construction site for low-volume vehicles like the General Motors EV1, Buick Reatta, and Cadillac Eldorado. The Craft Centre also produced the convertible Chevrolet Cavalier and Pontiac Sunfire. Its final product was the Chevrolet SSR. On November 21, 2005, General Motors announced that it would close the Lansing Craft Centre in mid-2006. The final SSR, a unique black-on-silver model, was built on March 17, 2006.[4] Many of the Craft Centre workers were transferred to the new Lansing Delta Township Assembly plant.[/WIKIPEDIA]

Its sounds like thats where your car was built, not the company that did the aftermarlet add-ons.
Can anyone on this site run my vin through GM? I need to find out what dealer in NJ this car came from, so I can try to locate a new wheel.

Also I would like to know some of the service history on the car.

Thanks

I think they're aftermarket. They don't look stock and sadly enough, the imitation convertible tops haven't been an option for 25 years or so. S0 I'm told.

My 89 STS has a top that I thought was factory as well but the folks at Cadillac tell me no. Dealers have them done to new cars upon customer request but they're not from the factory.

I never really looked at the build sheet, maybe I will now.

Just get a CarFax on the VIN. That should tell you everything you need to know.

I did but carfax only stated it was a clean 2 owner car I'm the 3rd first sold out of NJ. Does not say what dealer.

I know carfax used to give you the name of the last owner(s) but they must have stopped doing that.

00ETC
Really? I just got a CarFax on my 02 from the dealer and it states the original dealers name number and address and the plant of manufacturing. I've never seen the owners name on a CarFax but it does tell you each time the reg was renewed and at what DMV.

It also shows ownership by the dealer where I purchased it, how long they've had it and what's been done as far as maintenance.
