If this has already been posted, I apologise.

Don't know if you guys would be interested in this, but these guys decided to sneak into the Rover car plant in the UK and take some photos.
There are half finished cars hanging on the assembly line in the dark.
Kinda cool.

On the off chance that some of you don't know who Rover is, you might now their "sports" division which is MG. And I know they sold those over on your side of the Pond. <grin>

That is awesome. I love stuff like that.

So what happened? What's the story behind it? Stuff like this really catches my interest. I remember one time on the Tech PC forums someone posted a huge thread of pictures from an abandoned amusement park. Really cool for some reason.

Very creepy, ive been in the factory before, it was always oisy and full of sound and movement. Looks ghostly now, unfinished rovers just lying there.

The company was boguth rom BMW a few years ago, for £10. not £10m or £10 bil. Ten english pounds.

The guys who bought it didnt put much into it after that, got some chinese autos, and took a fortune out of the business,a running it bust and bankrupt.

Interesting. Too bad they couldn't have borrowed a skeletal car and finished it with other parts. Imagine that!!

Hey Mac, maybe you could offer him £20 for the place, he'd double his money and you could have quite an interesting piece of property to re-design? Whadaya think? :contract:

Damn Chinese are going to own us all.

Why hasn't the World Health Organization clamped down on them and made them clean up their agriculture? All their chickens and pigs are so damn unsanitary they send us a new strain of incurable influenza every damn year!

Their master plan is to get us all sick and kill a bunch of us off first, then they can buy us on the cheap!

The damn Walton family is helping them! And I don't mean John-Boy.

Git-R-Done!

Tell you what, I'll throw in $20 American, that's still a little over half, right? And I'll detail the HVAC for you to boot. How's that?

Oh rats! Looks like we may have missed our little window of opportunity there. You know what they say; "Oh well..."

I also agree, well, im not sure it was all the case

I think they sold the chinese the design for the "MEtro/100" and they invested, it was Indian company Tata that sold them dodgy knock off city cars.

THey had deals everywhere.

It wouldnt start. I had to have them fix it at the factory
Well that sounds like an ominous indication, a fortuitous, ill-fated omen to be sure.
