2010 escalade. I have a galaxy s20+ and when I hook my phone up with USB the screen says device unsupported. At first I thought it was my USB port but my nephew hooked up his iPhone and it worked perfectly. Is there a app on my phone that I need to download or anything? Or any other way to get it to play?

It’s likely that the technology in the Galaxy has moved past the compatibility of the trucks system.

I’d defer that matter to your nephew and offer compensation for a workaround and/or solution. Phones and plans are so cheap now a possible work around may be purchasing a compatible phone to keep in the truck 100% of the time.
