I'm thinking of permanently sealing my sunroof with some clear exterior caulking.

It skips gears, won't open, will vent but not straight. My drain tubes are also clogged and I can't get to them, as it won't open.

I don't care enough to go through all the work to fix it, at least right now.

Has anyone done this and have advice?

Thanks!

I've sealed them shut on other vehicles when they broke or leaked badly. Clean the area to be caulk well. If you use a caulk to match trim color and smooth it properly it will look decent also. Oh and don't forget to unplug/disable the sunroof controls.
You might get lucky and find a replacement cheap at the bone yard or even from a member here, check classifieds.

Sounds like the 4 Torx glass retainer screws are loose - 2 on each side, on the black rail attached to the glass. They hold and adjust the glass to the entire mechanism.

Proper glass adjustment is flush at the front, flush to + 0.5mm high at the rear.

Thanks Sub, I can get to those. I'll test them for tightness, hopefully that's the problem, and then I'll clean my drain tubes. If they are already tight, back to plan A.
