HaveBlue did an amazing comparison dyno test on Intake systems. A tremendous amount of data for us.:D

How about exhaust system tests? Unfortunately it would be very difficult to dyno all the systems on one CTS. But we could have members dyno their cars before and after the exhaust mod and post their results.

If anyone is contemplating or about to do an exhaust mod you may want to think about our Forum members and post your dyno tests. I realize some of us may not have access to a dyno.

when Ody dynoes his we'll atleast find out how a 3.2 with the borla and the different intakes stack up. he was contemplating running it with stock pipes but that'd be a pain...we'll see...

by the way, ODY, i packaged the k&n and sent it out wednesday...don't get excited though, it's in a volant box. =)

I currently have an appointment for a Dyno run on 11/8/05. If all goes well I shoudl be able to keep the appointment, but I have one case going to trial on 11/22 and things normally get really really hectic closer to trial....My run will give the results for the following set up:
1) Volant
2)V-pipes
3)Magnaflow Mufflers
and another variable, 20" wheels...Don't now how useful the results will be to the forum in general, but I don't have a set of stock wheels to switch back to nor can I do anything about my mufflers....we'll see.

Should still be interesting.

I see we have some activity in exhaust mods. One member has a 3.2 and started a thread. What ever he does I suggested before/after dyno runs. If we keep alert and spot things like these we can increase our chances of getting good data like HaveBlue did.

I would dyno mine and I want to BUT the closest dyno is 2 hrs away. I've searched and searched for one closer but no cigar. Good idea though.
I have a few Mazda friends in tampa I'll find out who has a dyno over there. For ya...I know there is one. I just can't recall who has it.

I just picked up my new V-exhaust, I'll check and see if my friend Roger Vinci will let me run it on his machine. I'll try to hold off puting on the volant until after that. (just a tad anxious if you know what I mean). By the way I'm in Orlando, is anyone with in earshot with a 3.2 looking for the exhaust on my 3.6 . Maybe we can have them swapped at the same location.

Robert, I have dynoed my car on 3 occasions. The first time the highest result was 196 rwhp. I then installed V exhaust and dynoed a second time and got 199rwhp. The third time was with a full Tony-A mod and got 203rwhp. I have a 04' with 3.2 and 5 spd manual. I am looking forward to Ody's dyno results. I just thought I would throw this in the hat!

It so happens that I have to be in Chatsworth on Monday (Porn capital)..I found this place that gives 3 runs for $75. www.theLAPD.com They usually require 2 to 3 days for an appoiintment, but they said to call them on Monday to see if they can fit me in...If they do, that would be kinda cool...probably go tour a XXX set while I'm waitng for the results...LOL
