Anyone try the Pedal Commander? Wondering if it's worth the $300 or if it's scammy. Or, if you know of any similar product that can provide some crisper throttle response... Pedal Commander Dot Com

Probably the only thing I don't love about my '10 Wagon is the throttle response (or rather the lack thereof). I am frustrated pushing the pedal to the floor and then waiting for a good second before the throttle picks up, and even then sometimes it takes a few seconds for it to really ramp up. It's a little friggin' unpredictable.
3.6L DI motor.

I'd love to drop in an Overkill supercharger, but that's about $6k... :|

Many members have installed the Vitesse throttle controller with positive results.
Can be had for around $180...

I feel you, that delay is the worst. It's not just the throttle, there is also a delay in the transmission and when you're dealing with both of them at the same time it's so frustrating.

I don't have any experience with the Pedal Commander but do have the Vitesse. Like long mentioned you can get the Vitesse or similar for about $100 less. It won't have bluetooth or the fancy packaging, but from what I can tell, they all work the same.

They don't remove any delay, they just increase the throttle that is commanded to the ECU, basically simulating you pushing the pedal farther and faster.

If you don't plan on doing anything else to the car in the way of a tune, you might be happy with it. The impact is definitely measurable with any butt dyno even if there aren't any real measurable performance gains.

I know the Vitesse offered a money back guarantee, so you can always try it out and just send it back if not happy. Not sure if pedal commander does.

Add $150 more to that and get a Will Overkill Tune... He takes out the delay and will tune your car to you. So you get much more than just a quicker throttle response... The whole car is quicker. And you can gain a few HP just by running premium if you like.

This and the info above has me thinking a tune might be the better option... rather than work around it by altering input from the gas pedal, fix the problem by changing the crappy software. The horsepower gain as an added bonus is enticing as well.

It isn't clear on his site how to purchase that tune. Looks like he's in B.C. Canada... it wouldn't be practical to get my car up there to him.

Seems the Trifecta tune is a similar option also.

If you're open to getting a tune, I'd definitely recommend that over the throttle controller. I have the Trifecta tune and don't use the throttle controller anymore. I paid $329 for the Trifecta and it is well worth the money if you aren't planning on doing any mods later that might require re-tuning. The Trifecta tune is a canned tune for a stock car, no datalogging, or adjustments/updates.

Thanks for the info, fellas. Gave me some things to think about.I'm actually considering at this point whether I want to sink some money into the Wagon and keep it around, or trade it in on a 2014-2018 Silverado...
I'd like to have a truck, but I really like my wagon... it is Diamond White, has only 75000 miles on it and is in fantastic condition. I've added BC Racing coilovers, a decent stereo system, custom wheels, and blacked out trim.
