Mine locks when I close my door and want to go around to the passenger side, it is already locked.
I like the auto lock idea but definitely want to extend it to 120 sec if I can.

I have the passive locking on my Corvette and now on the Escalade....and while I think it has its advantages, if you are a "car person" and do a lot of cleaning, working...in and out kind of stuff...it is a pain. From what I can determine , ( Escalade) there is no way to change the timing of the "lockup"..... I have disabled that feature in both of my cars.

I have looked up and down in the CUE and in the manual and I think the Passive Lock is on a ten sec or so timer, with no way of changing that.

Have already locked the key in the car because of it. Quickly got it back open with the OnStar App. I actually thought the lock would kick back, but it didn't... I like the function, but for surely wish it didn't lock with the key fob in the car and wish it locked maybe in 30sec or so.

It's a good thing you had your phone app with you. Try doing that with both phone and key inside. I did that once with key inside and my 2009 escalade hybrid did not have the app. Had to call onstar and jump hoops to prove ownership of the vehicle.

REALLY? I did not think it was possible for the autolock to lock the key inside the vehicle... bad design if that is the case.

Yep! Very poor design. Tested it again last night with the key fob in the pass seat and it still locked! The horn even chirped to indicate the key was still in the car. Dealer said GM was aware and to not use the passive lock function till it gets resolved. My MB GL also had a poor design and was able to lock the key in the car. Would be a nice function to use and hopefully will be resolved soon.

My 2011 Infiniti won't lock if the key is inside.
My current Lexus LX and all my previous Lexus' always kicked back the lock whenever the fob was in the car.

I think it locks but you can just unlock it by pressing the handle button?
Correct, however that obviously doesn't help if myself or the wifey are out solo, esp with young kids in the car :)

IMO, the vehicle shouldn't lock at all if the fob is in the car. Period. It is smart enough to audibly let you know, but still locks the car. LOL!

That said, the OnStar App is great and worked like a charm.
