I am one of the very few owners of 3.2 2003 model in Spain and ever since I bought the car I was noticing (and smelling) small amount of smoke on the passenger side, near the battery.
I took the car to two mechanics (i dont have any Cadillac service nearby) and they both wasnt sure what is it but suspect head gasket, and its a lot of money to repair for it might not be the one needed.
Ive checked the forums and head gasket leak is seems very unlikely for this model but instead it looks like valve gasket leak due to clogged up pcv.
My question is if anyone knows a mechanic at south / south-east of Spain that is competent enough, and what parts would I need to fix this and where to get them?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Also Ive been driving some time like this and im not sure if it can escalate more?
I dont have any performance issues, at least not the ones I could notice

Re: Passenger side oil leak

Go the easiest and cheapest route first, change the PVC valve first and see if there is any change. I don't know if you can get one in Spain, but rockauto.com would definitely have it and send it. A plugged up PVC valve would cause pressure to build up in the engine and blow oil out.

You need to check the error code.

But otherwise valve cover gaskets are not a big issue. Very disturbing with the smoke. Mine had lots of smoke coming out under the hood.

But no panic. Just change and enjoy. From what I heard some changes this every 60.000 km.

But the pcv kit should help. I never changed gaskets again during the 60.000 km in my 1st gen CTS 3.2 and never made the pcv upgrade.

In winter time I always used engine heater and always avoid high rpm the first many miles/10 minutes. Your oil pressure wont be high and no gaskets are gonna leak.

Thank you everone, for the time being im trying to resolve engine light issues, codes are p0158, p0160 and p0161. Ive managed find that o2 sensor on ebay so we will see if that resolve it. If not everyone suggests wiring or ecm itself.
