While in independent heat or cool mode, the pass side "red" "heat up" button won't work. The only way to increase the heat on the passenger side is to de-activate the dual side feature and depress the off button so the drivers side control sets a higher temp for both sides. Just got this CTS so haven't been able to use the AC so don't know if passenger side has the same problem for moving from 60 temp up. Any ideas where to start? Switch? ECU for the HVAC?

Any warranty on the purchase? I'd start with the dealer you bought it from.

Is the temperature displaying on the passenger side ? If so the local buttons should work. If not you need to press the "pass" button (E) on the HVAC console.

and you have the PASS (button E above in Padgett's illustration) button pressed and lit but the PASSenger cannot change the temperature???...anything spilled on the console ever???...even cleaning products...

My drivers side climate control was stuck on 73 for the past 2 years. Mostly my fault for not fixing the issue sooner. I had to purchase a used panel, yes the whole thing with radio and all just to get the driver side controls. If u need the pass side controls depending on which one that's in your car I may have one. My cts is an 08, it has the red/blue and heated seat button. Contact me or message me if u think mine will work for u. Thanks..
