I have a 2014 Cadillac CTS with the Bose audio. The front passenger door speaker tends to rattle at high bass volumes. What’s the best way to take the cover and tighten the speaker or fix the rattling?

I believe I have a bad speaker in the driver's door. I'll post when I fix it but normally you have to take off the entire door panel. It's likely your problem is a bad speaker, not a loose speaker. So you need to be ready to replace it. Maybe we can compare notes on finding a replacement. I'd like to use a factory speaker so the system balance is maintained.

- as with any little speaker - asked to handle a broad frequency range - you play 'em loud, they blow. Sounds like time to replace both door units.

I installed an Alpine 350w amp and Infinity speakers in my Equinox. At full volume the speakers never distort!

I bought a used Bose speaker on eBay for $40. New AC Delco runs $100. I assume it’s the same as Bose but they don’t use that name.
