Hey everybody, this one has me stumped, any ideas?
My emergency brake pedal doesent retract when the car is put into drive and I have to manually pull it up. I was wondering if this OBD code might have something to do with it:
P090 (E090) ......... VCC/TCC Brake Switch/Park/neutral switch Input Circuit Problem

Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance!

if it releases but doesn't 'pop' up it may be a broken or detatched spring. If it doesn't release then there may be a problem with the release mechanism either sticking or the actuator is faulty.

Check the cables. frequently that is caused by a cable rusting inside the cable sheathing and preventing it from retracting. You may need to replace one of the cables.

The release mechanism is vacuum actuated, I believe. Might want to check on that.
