Is there some way to manually release the parking brake. I know it works on vacuum but I need to drive it while figuring out what's wrong with the vacuum. All I need to do is release it. Any help?
Thanks,
Jim

I don't remember all the details, but on my '92 Coupe DeVille there is a lever behind (or somewhere in the area of) the emergency brake pedal. Dis-engage it, but keep your face out of the way! When the brake releases it pops back with a lot of force - I got whacked good on the side of my face the first time I tried it! Needless to say, be sure your car is in "park" before you attempt this.
