I have park assist, and the button is always yellow, on. Nothing regarding the park assist ever displays on the CUE. If I turn it off and on it displays on the center console that I'm turning it off and on, but never shows on the CUE in order for me to use it. I tried driving slowly, trying to get it initiated or started, but it never shows. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any help.
Not sure if you are talking about 'park assist' or 'Auto Parking Assist'. For park assist, have the system on and for forward detection the DIC will show a car with bars around it that light up from yellow to amber to red the closer you get to an object, additionally for the rear, the camera will show you a yellow triangle that will turn to red the closer you get.
For auto parking assist see manual text and the video links below (2nd one is for the Escalde, but I think the system is the same for all newer Cadillacs):
Press APA button on the center stack to
enable the system to search for a
parking space that is large enough and
within 1.5m (5 ft) of the vehicle. The
vehicle speed must be below
30 km/h (18 mph).
APA may automatically disengage if:
. The steering wheel is used by the
driver.
. The maximum allowed speed is
exceeded.
. There is a failure with the APA
system.
. Electronic stability control or
antilock brakes are activated.
. A high priority vehicle message is
displayed in the DIC.
