Painted Maggie?

Has anyone painted a maggie? For some reason I thought qqik4u's maggie was painted with polished ribs. I wanted to just do gloss black. If you powdercoat it, it voids warranty with Magnuson. I wouldn't think paint would hurt anything. You'd have to dismantle it to powdercoat, that is why it would void warranty.

O YEAH I GOTTA MAGGIE, O YEAH!!!!!!
:nanaparty:

Not in hands, but on order. Still stoked though. :highfive:

It's not nice to brag!!!
This is what I was going to do to mine but I got impatient and just stuck it on. Maybe one day I'll paint it like this.

See less See more
That is exactly what I was talking about. Who's V is that?
Its StealthV's old ride. I dont know who bought his blower. He posted a yard sale link on here one day and it sold but I have never seen any more pics of it pop up.
CTSV_Rob bought that blower didnt he? Glad to see you got your Maggie Justin. Just dont tell RangerRob.....

He knkows. It was a good deal, so I just jumped on it. What sort of paint would you use to do that? Something that could withstand high temperatures. I got the silver. Not really into paying an extra grand for polished.

My calipers were painted with regular car paint with extra hardener in it. No discoloration so far. Thats after 2 track days and 2 autocrosses.

You dog.....

So I guess your cousin must have come though for you. Let me know when you get ready to put it on. I wanna see how bad its gonna be when I put mine on.

Congrats:highfive:
If you have the patience and self-control to paint it or have it painted before you install, I would definitely do it.

I, like Tony, almost skipped out on work because I couldn't wait until the end of the week to put it on. If it wasn't for the little pieces of the install like the washer arm mod, running the magnavolt line, etc. that held me over a couple days, I wouldn't have made it til the end of the week.

You're gonna love it!

P.S. Don't forget extra grounding points for the magnavolt.
Mine sat in the garage for about 3 weeks while I waited on a new transmission and LS7 clutch to arrive for my car. It SUCKED.
I hear ya. Mine sat in the basement for four weeks while I built a paver patio. Gave me a chance to collect all the stuff it was missing, though.

Rick was installing his at the same time I did mine. We kept in pretty close contact. Then, he went into seclusion for a bit. I think that's when he did the paint. I remember when he unveiled it.:eek::bouncy:

No paint here ... mine's polished!
I love that pic myself. I was going to do it but Ron at Vengeance said don't do it, so I didn't. If anyone wants to pain thiers let me know and I'll pain mine at the some time. I'm not scared I'll do anything.. haha

Congrats on the maggie, youre gonna love her!

It's all your fault. I couldn't resist.

He told you not to paint it?
He told you not to paint it?
Yes but that doesnt mean I have to listen.. :stirpot:
If I do it, im not willing to spray anything under my hood.. I'd like to tape it off and "paint" it with like a brush or something... I wonder if he did anything to the part(whatever it's called) under the blower itself??
I was going to do it before I install it. I think it would look good black with silver ribs. What type paint would you use? I think Ted is right about the blower getting hot. If his calipers were going to change, they already would have done it.
I have no idea on what type or kind of paint to use. I will have to research it. I will do my paint job on the V. Im not taking the thing off again unless I have to!! I know for a fact it is going to get hot under there. my maggie has been too hot to touch a time or two...
