When did you order? I placed an order last week…haven’t heard anything yet.
I believe 21 orders are done and closed. 22 orders dont open till the 27th. So I am not sure what your dealer did, but I don't think they could have actually placed an order.

Three engineers to remove a bumper...! Interesting! :)

In other news, my dealership said they received ZERO allocations for ANY vehicle today. I think a 22 is in the cards for me. We shall see!
Lol 3 engineers.
Interesting. I’ll have to ask. GM chat says order placed by dealer but not accepted GM.
you will get a 22. Mine says same thing

I have been on the waiting list for a while now. No order has been placed.

Every single Thursday I call the fleet manager (who receives the allocations), and there never seems to be an allocation for a Platinum Sport. I am working with two dealerships. Fun times!

I’ve had three dealers contact me in the last 24 hours about stock items coming in next week. None of them are exactly what I’m looking for but maybe things are starting to open up at the moment?

Why is white a premium color anyhow?
It is a tricoat :) Not regular flat white.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but the tri coat white gets painted 3 times instead of the normal 2. Basecoat, another coat for the pearl flakes, and finally the clearcoat.

We shouldn’t even be talking about this for a car at this price point!
That’s because an Escalade, no matter how much it costs, isn’t a “real” Cadillac. It’s a truck, always has and always will be. There’s too much vehicle to cover and expect them to deliver it to Cadillac standards. Too much roof, too much bumper, too much of everything. And the fact that it’s kissing cousins with Tahoe & Denali makes it even harder to deliver that higher standard.

I think if they really built a vehicle as large as a full size Escalade to true Cadillac standards it would cost around $150,000, but who’s going to pay all that? It wouldn’t even make sense.

Every Cadillac made is assembled on the same platform and in the same plant as a Chevy kissing cousin. That is the Cadillac standard.

Yes but there’s a difference between cars and trucks. If they really went out and tried to make a truck to higher standards you’d wind up with a Lincoln Blackwood.. And how’d that turn out? Escalade will always be what it is, a nice truck, but a truck nevertheless.

Isn’t that why people are buying these? I’m buying one cause it’s a nice truck with lots of space for the kids, stuff, road trips and occasional towing under 8000lbs. Seems like the perfect fit for that.

That’s awesome. I’m just saying, you don’t exactly hear people describing an Escalade as having lazer straight paint. That’s just an example, but what I’m trying to say is there’s so much vehicle that it’s almost understandable for it to be imperfect or lacking in some areas, paint might be one of them.

I have also received quite a few calls from dealers I was trying to buy from back in April/May... seems they are finally getting in some stock units, so maybe (just maybe) we will see things start to return to normal a bit.

Anyone have continuous issues with the paint peeling at the front fascia? Had mine repainted 2 months ago and it is already starting to peel again in the same area...Dealer says they have to contact GM but I'm concerned this is going to keep occurring...Covered or not its a pain in the ass taking it back and forth to the dealer

Yes, me. The SR Engineer for Bumpers, Grille, & Fascia is coming out to STL to look at the vehicle at the end of the month. I got connected with him through GM & not through anyone at the dealer.

Geez. How long did it take to happen the first time?
I keep checking mine.. it has PPF on the front end so it would be a disaster!
