mufflers are painted black? Do you have a pic? I think you mean the integrated exhaust outlets.i have the black onyx package. The mufflers are painted black and the inside of them are already peeling.
Ya it is a sport with black onyx package, so maybe they are covers? But to me it looks like chipped paint. Car is in service so cant get a pic of the actual color fading. All sports have black exhaust covers. Does not need to be Onyx. Mufflers aren't painted black from what I recall.
Do you mean the exhaust finishers on the rear bumper (which are not even connected to the exhaust outlet)? First off, All Sports have them in black, has nothing to do with Onyx. Strange that the paint there is peeling but it should be a super easy swap for your dealer. That part is just for looks, it is not part of the exhaust system.i have the black onyx package. The mufflers are painted black and the inside of them are already peeling.
When was your build date again? Concerned I'm going to pick mine up in a month and have to take it straight to a local dealer.Got a call from GM today. They are flying out an engineer to look at the front bumper. Apparently they had a fix in place before my build date…looks like it didn’t fix.
Possibly why mine is still sitting in Arlington. Same color and built the week before. Going to be the first thing I look for when it does show up!@Romans9 April 22 build date.
I really doubt that they are looking at the paint. They will see if you notice. The dealer should at least catch these paint issues in detail but again, they will likely see if you notice first. That seems to be the GM way.Possibly why mine is still sitting in Arlington. Same color and built the week before. Going to be the first thing I look for when it does show up!
I am guessing there is something wrong with the prep or materials for the front and rear bumper covers. The paint issues seem to only be on these plastic parts. It is baffling that they are having issue with this.... working out the bugs on a new design or new tech is understandable, but painting a car? Come on.....
Mostly on seams and edges. The seams are too tight and rub. No space.I am guessing there is something wrong with the prep or materials for the front and rear bumper covers. The paint issues seem to only be on these plastic parts.
That's good. Hope the paint matches. Tricoat can look yellow and hard to match.Got a call this week 3 engineers are coming out to take my bumper off on the 28th. They are shipping up a new bumper from the factory. Sounds like they are going to analyze the current bumper with the GM Supplier.
Three engineers to remove a bumper...! Interesting!Got a call this week 3 engineers are coming out to take my bumper off on the 28th. They are shipping up a new bumper from the factory. Sounds like they are going to analyze the current bumper with the GM Supplier.
When did you order? I placed an order last week…haven’t heard anything yet.Three engineers to remove a bumper...! Interesting!
In other news, my dealership said they received ZERO allocations for ANY vehicle today. I think a 22 is in the cards for me. We shall see!
