Hello,

Only had my 2002 Escalade a week and seem to be hitting dead ends everywhere.

Trouble finding parts, etc.

Today on my way to work, the check engine light came on. Pulled code this afternoon and got P0046 - Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Control Circuit Malfunction.

I've read that it could be the gas cap, the EVAP Vent Solenoid, or even the container.

However, I've read where all have been changed and they still get the same code.

Could someone please tell me exactly where the EVAP Vent Solenoid is located on the 2002 Escalade 6.0? Haven't been able to locate an understandable diagram or even a photo.

Any other advise about this code would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Thanks! I will check there. Rained here most of the weekend so will hopefully be able to locate it tonight.

That is the vent solenoid, correct? Then the purge solenoid is under the hood on the intake?

Either can be causing the code? Any advice on which to replace first?

Found this: ACDelco 214-1091 GM Original Equipment Vapor Canister Vent Valve
