The outside (ambient) temperature display that was on the upper right hand corner (next to the time) of my nav screen just disappeared after a recent update at my dealership. The update was to fix the issue of the nav and radio not storing the last settings after the car was turned off. The time display is controlled by a setting in the time screen but no one can find out why the outside temperature disappeared. The tech center is researching the issue.

Anyone else have any experience with this issue? My car is a 2010 SRX Performance AWD.

Chuck777 - Did your temp display ever come back? I just had the software "update" done to my 2010 SRX and it's not displaying the outside temp anymore.

If I am correct I believe your problem lies in the fact that your NAV was reprogramed and that will cause the clock to reset to the original default setting of "OFF". You have to go back into the config menu and you must reselect "ON" for your clock to appear on the NAV screen once again.

FYI: I noticed that on my new 2012 my default setting was set to "OFF" so I had to go in and select my clock to "ON" in order for it to be viewable.

I've never understood why they would default features to "OFF" and have the customer wonder why something isn't working. Better to turn it all on and let them selectively turn off what they don't want to see. I say this because MOST people refuse to RTFM.

Mine disappeared the other day and I pushed the radio on/off button and it came back on. I have done that a few times.

I have the clock in the Nav displayed, and have tried turning the radio on and off, but still don't have any outside temperature display. My dealer has no clue what is wrong. In fact, the dealer's customer service rep has a 2010 SRX with the "Washington, DC" problem on the Nav. She wasn't even aware there was a TSB on it...and she works there!

Just had the Recall # 13022 for the Navigation system done on my 2010 SRX Turbo 02-06-15 and got the same issue of no ambient temp display! Tried turning radio off and on and resetting clock to no avail. Can someone help? Well afew days later my Service writer called and said bring the vehicle back into the dealership because the mechanis did not finish the recall instructions and had not reprogrammed the radio. Went in today 02-13-15 and they reprogrammed the radio and the ambient temp is back.

They preformed the campaign WITHOUT READING the campaign, take it back. Have the service manager print you a copy of the entire campaign process step by step. It requires more programming and storing your information.

They should reset your state and reset ALL your settings as the technician is GETTING PAID TO DO THESE THRU GM.
I even reset ALL stored navigations addresses and add the home address, icon, and store it as a preset.

Had my radio replaced before and this happen , no temp display . Brought it back to the dealer and the tech while programming the radio, skipped a step, had no temp display or xm radio. Reprogrammed and it worked fine. Unfortunately the dealer can only do

I work in the opposite fashion, I don't need the forum to update my skills or knowledge. But I don't mind helping out customers with issues that other people can seem to find the time for.

BTW, I took my 2014 GMC into my local dealership for service yesterday, I gave them the documents required for the repairs and had my maintenance done. Do you know what they told me, "why don't you fix it yourself?". Absolute laziness and lack of respect for me as a customer.
I'll have to remember that the next time a Cadillac customer asks me about fixing their vehicle.

I try to go to the dealership armed with the corrective paperwork as well. I don't have the expertise, time, nor tools to do it myself. Some things require specialized computer software and interfaces which anyone besides a dealership won't have.

I had my update done on my 2010 last week and everything, including the outside temp, is working as advertised now. Take it back and have them reload it again. It's great having a fully functional infotainment system!
