The angle of the front seat headrests resulted from complying with a new Federal Regulation to prevent "whiplash" injuries. The rear seat headrests also catapult forward in the event of rear impact crashes. I don't know of any other optional headrests. The CTS-V Series offers a Recaro seat option, and I don't know whether the headrest is configured any differently? Search for this topic, as I recall it being discussed several months ago. I used to think I would like it, if the headrest was padded differently (less flat), but I've gotten used to their shape and position now.
