Ok, I know you guys all think I am a transformers geek.... Ok I am.

So I will give you my wife's review (she, unlike me, is a normal person):

To set the stage; she thinks the great recent movies are Memoir of a Gesha (dont correct me, I really dont care how it is spelled) and Brokeback Mountain. If you ask her how Revenge of the Sith was she would say it was "alright." Live Free or Diehard was "okay".

I basically dragged her to this movie. When she saw the trailers, she rolled her eyes. "Oh great, another geek movie for you." I got her to go because Josh Duhamel is in it. Yup, that got her attention.

When the credits rolled at the end of Transformers, she grabbed my arm---no---she almost broke my arm, and said "OOOOOOHHHHH----MY------GOOOODDDD, that was f***ing amazing!" Yes, my sweet little woman used the F word! And she loved this movie. And she does not love regular action movies, much less a geek action movie. Oh, and she never even mentioned Josh Duhamel. I think she forgot about him. His name never came up on the way home. But the names Optimus Prime, Ironhide, Megatron and Starscream she remembered.

Bottom line, you must get to your nearest theatre as soon as possible to see this movie. This is going to be huge, maybe, just maybe, Titanic huge, or close.

welldamn, we might be seeing that tomorrow.

thanks for the tip
There are many rumors that this will be the highest grossing movie of all time, surpassing Titanic by a small margin. We shall see...

Im going to wait a few weeks and then see it,maybe in the $1 theater. I HATE WITH AN ALL-CONSUMING FIREY PASSION going to movies. Theres always some "person" hooting and hollering. "Ahhh damn, ahh damn, oh no he di'nt". Babys crying, people screaming. Some jerk off kicking the back of your chair. F that S. I like to watch my movie in peace, and the average American movie goer is an inconsiderate,loud-mouthed,prick with no manners whatsoever.

Sorry for that rant. I am done.
I dont know if it will pass titanic, that movie was a phenomen. But maybe.

You have to break your rule and go see this! Now! It was awesome!

I'm with you on this. I was very annoyed and offended watching 'Saving Private Ryan' in the theater when some guy laughed at the scene of the young guy on the beach who got shot in the head after a near miss through his helmet. There were other instances of disrespect as well. Not that it matters so much, it was only a movie but it had such a feeling of reality to it that I had a hard time not taking it so seriously. I've learned to wait and watch them in the privacy of my own home.

I'm becoming my Dad in a way, his line was, "I'll wait till it comes on TV" while I like to wait until it comes out on DVD.

It can be somewhat scary and annoying how much we become like our parents!!
Transformers was AWESOME. I just hope that girl was over 18 or I am going to become a Registered Sex Offender soon.

Just kidding...Maybe.
Megan Fox, she is 21 or 22 and in the latest maxim.

I notice it more and more everyday.
I think she has passed Jessica Alba for #1 hottest movie babe.

these were from the movie:

I started drooling when she started talking about carburetors...

By the way, best line in the movie; when they introduce Jazz (below), he says "What's crackin' bitches?" Awesome.

And the best visual, I thought, there is a nighttime scene near a bridge, at the end of the scene Bumblebee (the new camaro) transforms, and about halfway through his transformation, his rear wheels start spinning, so when he finishes transforming, he is already fishtailing away. I just thought that was great.

freaking awesome, i may go see it again

how are these box office figures calculated?

Similar story here:

Saw Pearl Jam and Death Cab for Cutie at the Silver Spurs Arena back in '04 on the Vote For Change Tour. EVERYONE was smoking trees. I mean random people were passing around joints and pipes to everyone. It was pretty crazy. I had snuck a Zephyrhills bottle full of Captain Morgan and got so sloshed i barely remember the show. I do remember Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins getting on stage and singing with Eddie Vedder. And the crowd going all-holy apeshit when they played "Keep on rockin' in the free world". That was something to see...

Good times.

ah, Jimmy........do you have any family members that live close by that I could call to arrange an "intervention"?
wouldnt work, I am too far gone.
You should see my Star Wars collection.
Saw the movie on Tuesday and loved it...cheesy lines and all.
Cheesy Lines?
{Optimus Prime steps on bird bath} "Oh, my bad."
I too am awaiting the DVD.... I'm tired of paying big bucks for a crappy seat in a theatre next to a bunch of morons...

I have 60 inches of joy in my house... where I have total control over the morons I might have to sit with... (or not!)

Plus, the time gap from theatre to DVD is getting shorter.

I too am disturbed by the subtle slouching towards my Dad, but...

Just saw "Ghost Rider". For $10 at the theatres, I dunno... but for a $3 rental, in the privacy of my own home, it was great.
