BTW - The dealer will need to do the swap for you if you want the miles to be correct.

How is the amber and black reversed? They sell that some where or what? is it a V thing?

I see the song thats on there too, lol... nobody wanna see us together.... but it dont matter nooooo..... :alchi:

'05, '06, '07 cluster is the best hands down. '08 is terrible, same goes for the '03, '04.


tomm, that is sick. If I had the willpower, I would so do that mod.

Woo Hoo i just got a nav unit for $300.. DVD Nav that is.. damn been looking long enough and for the right price!!!!!!

Ill tell you from where as soon as I receive it. :) Wanna make sure someone doesnt attempt to up the price... not that anyone here would.

What does the dealer charge to update the mileage and install???
Doing this is not really an option - it's a must in order to be in compliance with federal regulations & to maintain your warranty (if you still have one). Failing to have it done would be considered tampering with true vehicle mileage (even if your new cluster shows more miles than the original) - a serious no-no & violation of federal law.

Seems to me that it cost me around $200 - $250 for the dealer to have the new unit sent to SPECMO (Google 'em - they do all the GM speedo work) to have the car mileage programmed into the new cluster. You're probably talking about 3 - 5 days down time, unless you run without the cluster.

If you do a search, you should find several strings concerning this subject.

yah i need to update my cluster too, that clock is the stupidest thing ive seen in a vehicle in years, and for that matter doesnt even keep the right time.....and why i mean why would you ever NOT want to know wthe temp your vehicle is running at....oh well ill live for now haha
