I'm planning on removing the heater hose that goes from the thermostate to the firewall and using a plug to cover holes. Anybody know if I need to leave the short hose that goes from the firewall to the intake manifold?

You probably want to loop the line from the intake manifold back into the water pump, just to keep it circulating.

That's what I was wondering. I wasn't sure if the coolant HAS to circulate thru. heater hose outlet. I figured it would just circulate between the upper and lower radiator hoses.
