One more bluetooth issue

I just bought a 2012 CTSv and was sad to find out that my bluetooth doesn't work like I want it to. I've read many threads on the subject and I can't find the specific answer to my question. My question is as follows:

Is it possible to make and receive calls on my iPhone 5s through the infotainment system without taking my phone out of my pocket?

Currently when I make or receive calls the phone rings through the car speakers but when I answer it with the steering wheel controls, I have to press a button on the phone to get sound through the car speakers. This is anything but hands free.
Is there a device that I can buy that will allow this or is this a phone setting issue? Any help would be appreciated.

The Bluetooth implementation on the V treats your phone as a Bluetooth headset. Meaning, it will allow you to use voice commands to make calls using Siri. It should also allow you to receive. There must be an iPhone setting you can change for this to work. My wife has an iPhone 5 and it works when she drives my car so it is possible.

Hello CTS Jack,

I’m sorry to hear that the Bluetooth in your new CTS-V is not functioning to your expectations. Have you tried reaching out to our Infotainment team about this concern? They are our experts on the CUE and can be reached at 855-428-3669 from 8am to 10pm EST, seven days a week. If they cannot help provide a resolution to your concern, feel free to send me a PM and we can look into additional options.

Best regards,

It is an issue with the iphone/your settings. On my 2011 if someone calls me I just press the answer button, never have to pick up my phone. To make a call I use the phone and it goes right to blutooth, only because I'm to lazy to add my contacts. Then I would be able to press the button on the wheel and say call home (or what ever)
Austin,
Thanks for the feedback. I called the number you provided and he recommended I see a dealer because all the fixes we tried together over the phone didn't work. I'll keep you posted with the service I receive. BTW, before I make an appointment to see the dealer I would like to know where I can get a copy of the TSB for the wheel clicking issue and the rattling supercharger. Thanks for being involved.
