Went to another dealership today, explained to them everything that was happening and they looked at it....The squeaking issue has been found! but I cannot afford to fix it.

Squeak when apply the brakes, my front brake hardware is apparently bad and binding and needs replaced along with a front brake job. None of this is under warranty so I was quoted $589.63 to do this :bonkers: Ok so where can I buy front brake hardware and how do you replace it lol? I'll try to do this myself.

Also, the squeek/creak when going over bumps is a new issue, stabilizer bar bushing's are bad. They said the could do it under warranty for my $100 deductible, I told them no because I can just do it myself for cheap.

They charged me $50 to look at the car so now that I know what's bad i can fix it

Glad you got everything figured out man! That is a buttload of money just for the squealing. Do you have a 3rd party warranty, that's the $100 deductible? I think I have the same problem and have to get the Stabilizer bar bushing replaced. I have an extended 3 year bumper to bumper warrant through Zurich and my deductible is $100 too.

Here's a cheap fix for the bushings. I did it as a temporty fix but now it's permanant. I took 3 huge tie wraps and passed them through the bushing, that tightened them up and it's been 3 years and they are working well. For Brake parts, e-mail Chris at Rippy, he's got the best prices: Rippy Parts Dept. [[email protected]]

Thank's guys. I saw some bushings for $20 so I don't think they will be that hard to replace. Looks like a 60 min job max.

I have the gm majorguard warranty, it has a $100 deductible. I have about 10k miles until it's up (Which is like 5 months with how much I drive) so trying to get issues out. I asked about extending the gm full warranty and the cost was insane. 3 years/24k miles $2,150 or 2 year/36k miles for $2,900. Can't afford that lol. When I bought the car I added a 5 year/45k mile warranty on it which i've blown through the mileage in about 17 months. The gave me the option when I bought the car of doing a 5 year/100k mile warranty for $4,985 on the purchase price which would have covered me to 119k instead of 64k..I wish I would have done it now

Yeah that's insane for how many miles you put on. They threw my warranty on for "free" when I bought the car. It's a 2 yr/24k warranty and I saw it costed $2200. I'm taking it in for the first time Tuesday and using that warranty - so i'll see if everything goes smoothly. keeping my fingers crossed. That is a really good idea for the busing fix. I might just end up doing that myself. Thanks for the tips!! good luck on your man!

Ok Here's what you need to do... Now that you know what the REAL problem is... You need to contact Cadillac, inform them of the whole issue @ the old dealership, and also inform them of what was diagnosed at this new dealership. Let them know you PAID to have the "squeak removed" and that it was NOT at the old dealership. This shouldn't come out of pocket if it happened when you were within warranty and as long as there's documentation to back up your claim, you should be OK.
