Has anyone used another synthetic oil other than Mobil 1, and if so what brand. I just called my dealer and her told me an oil change there was $99.99, which nearly made me fall of my chair. Just cannot see paying $100.00 for an oil change. Also hard to find a lube center who offers Mobil 1.

DIY! Mobil1 isn't any higher than other synthetics. I buy mine at Sam's Club in 6-packs. N* needs 7.5 qts.

Actually, it's a fairly easy change, as the drain plug and filter are quite near the front of the car.

I go whenever my DIC says around 30%, to Valvoline and get their synthetic oil put into the my V6-2006 SRX. I have had no issues. The price is about $69.00/fill. The way I look at it it's the price of 2 oil changes that are non-synthetic on my wifes Acura.

WOW!!! I go to the dealer and it costs me $66 for an oil change.
Sorry for you man. I would check the Quickie places. Some will change if you bring your own oil too.

Verify the synthetic oil is GM approved for the SRX . Many synthetics are not approved including some Mobil 1 variants. Don't void your warranty by trying to save $10.00 on an oil change.
