can someone please help where is the low level oil sensor located i been looking all over the oil pan can not see it i have the low oil level sensor light on....not low oil pressure..i can not find this sensor...2007 escalade base

Engine Oil Level Sensor and/or Switch Replacement
Removal Procedure


Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
Place a suitable drain pan under the oil pan drain plug.
Remove the oil pan drain plug (430).
Allow the oil pan to drain completely.
Re-install the oil pan drain plug until snug.
Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.


Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector (4) from the oil level sensor.


Remove the oil level sensor from the oil pan.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.





Install the oil level sensor to the oil pan.
Tighten
Tighten the sensor to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).


Connect the engine harness electrical connector (4) to the oil level sensor.


Ensure that the oil pan drain plug is tight.
Tighten
Tighten the drain plug to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

Lower the vehicle.
Fill the engine with NEW engine oil. Refer to Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations and Approximate Fluid Capacities .
Start the engine and inspect for leaks.

where does the harness come from too see where i can find it???

This is the low oil level sensor on the 6.2L:

i seen where it suppose to go..but that hole is not drilled for the sensor to go in....and the oil level sensor had a cap on it...so i just crossed the two wires together and the low oil light stopped...could it be they installed a different oil pan int here...

Did u ever find the oil level sensor I sure can’t find it on my Escalade

Moderator edit: The member whom you just quoted has not logged in for over 5 years, After about 2004 or so many models came without an oil level sensor - it's back to the tried and true dipstick check every week. Sub.

Cameron thank u so much for your help but my Escalade has the drain hole but there is no oil level sensor next to that anywhere in that side an I was just wondering if is any were else thank u
