Well i've been having this leak for some time, couldn't identify it right away until I got that noise in the steering when you turned the wheel.

Sure enough, I checked the level and when it was supposed to be at FULL HOT it was at LOW. I added fluid and in a matter of days the noise dissappeared. I am now confident the fluid is PS fluid.

The leak is coming from forward of the left front wheelwell. What should I be concerned with here? Lines? It can't be the rack and pinion itself because the leak isn't coming from the wheelwell area. Remember - its FORWARD of the wheelwell, right below the starting of the left turning marker.

With the car running, try having a friend turn the car to one of the locks while you look for the leak, one of my P/S hoses must have a pinhole leak or something, since thats the only time it shows up.

That would be power steering fluid rather than oil. I just replaced my high pressure PS hose, and it's a bitch getting it aligned just right for it to screw down. I don't know if yours is the same way, but it could take awhile.
