Occasional miss at idle

Sometimes when at a light, with the car in gear the engine has a miss like someone turned off the switch. Just a slight kind of cough. No trouble on the road, no miss at any other time and no codes. Has had new plugs. By the way its a 99 STS. Can anyone shed some light or should I be watching for something

A couple things to check

Pull codes, if you have a bad crankshaft position sensor, it will tell you

Check the spark plug wires or coil packs, not sure what the 99 has.

Bad ground cable will definetly cause a miss in the engine.
