OBD-II data logger?

I was watching one of my favorite car shows ( Wheeler dealers) and they used an OBD-II data logger. It was a small module that plugged into the port. Then he drove around a bit, took it out & connected it to his laptop with a USB cable. It gave moving graphs of any thing you could think of. And info on each cylinder & all sorts of things.
I've seen the units that connect you laptop to the OBD-II port. But I can't find this little data logger module.
It's a British car show & they use lots of things I've never seen in the states.
I guess it's just as easy to put the laptop in the car?

Yes I have a nice hand held scanner. Yes I can pull codes on my 99 DeVille dash.

I was only asking about something I thought was neat on a TV show. Just small talk. I have no problems with my car.
The logger I saw was maybe 1" tall & the width of the OBD-II port.
Plug it in, go for drive. Un plug & connect to laptop with USB cable & show moving graphs of all engine parameters. Just thought it was a cool useful item to have in tool box. Wondered where I could find one.
Probably wrong forum category . Again I'm sorry

Thanks Slipgate. That looks pretty cool too. But I'm not buying any new fangled cell phone when my bag phone still works just fine. I'll do more reading & see if I can get Android APPS?( What ever those are) on my desktop.
