Hello all, my Check Engine light came on yesterday. I went by Advance Auto for there free scan. It came up with a P0134 O2 Sensor code ( Bank 1 Sensor 1). Ok so I know that it is the sensor but since I've never replaced one of these can anyone tell me which one this is. I know that there are 4 of them front and back but I don't know with the code above if it is the back ones or front. Is there a drawing anywhere out there as to show me exactly where they are. Im having that same problem.('99catera) I was told my passenger side sensor was bad. as to where they are located I have no idea can you please keep me updated, as I will you as I gain information:banghead:

OK the sensors are located in the exhaust pipes. You have one in the manifold and one just after the catalytic convertor.

Bank 1 is the left (passenger side) as you look at the engine, so sensor 1 is the first one in the manifold.

Are the front sensors the same as the rears?

They should be, an o2 sensor is a pretty standard piece of kit.

well on the 99 and up the O2 sensors are differnt on the front then on the back. so the two front ones are the same and the two backs ones are are the same but they are different from the front ones

Thanks guys...I'll be buying my 02 sensors from RockAuto today. I will replace them on Sunday. How long could you have gone without changing them and what problems could have happened. Thanks

I bought the Standard brand from Rock auto. they will arrive at my house today. To long of a wait for the Bosch brand.

Well let me know if you got them and if so, when did you order them so I'll order mine from there. Advance Auto is $109 but I'll have to wait around 10 days for delivery.

I ordered the sensors on Monday. Got them today. These are just like the bosch ones but different brand. I might be wrong but I think the ones from Advance Auto you don't get them with the connector in tact. You have to put it together. Could be wrong though.
