i remember a tire called "Double Eagle". Don't remember the maker, but I owned a set that included the gold stripe and looked very similar to Vogues!

Are you sure you don't mean 'Royal Seals'?

It was Royal Seal and I think Uni-Royal made them. I had them on my 87 Brougham and they looked so good. I had to wait for them to go back into production (according to Tires Plus). They may still be available, and they are worth the effort of trying to find them. Currently the same concept is called "nail- guard" but a total different look. No gold stripe.

AFAIK, only Vogue make their unique tyre - and it's the only tyre a Caddy should wear! think of them as spats for your wheels.

Not exactly fakes, counterfits, bootlegs, etc.......It's not like theyre trying to pass themselves off as VOGUE TYRES. If they are using the their own name, brand etc. Theyre just going with what sells. Just like some Hyndais look a bit like Jags, but theyre not. Look at them as being for people who do not want to spend $235+ a tyre.
