Northstar Eldorado Fuel

Hello, I am in the market for an Eldorado and had a fuel question. I have had 2 94 Eldos and a 96. These ran on Premium. I remeber hearing that I believe it was 2000 and up Eldos (Northstars in general) can be run on regular 87 octane. Anyone know?

They all can, but yes...the 2000+ N* is optimized to run on regular.

They will all run on Regular, but recommend premium. The 2000+ N* is designed to run on it.

Most newer vehicles these days as well as the 2000+ Eldo's have knock sensors. So 87 regular can be run without worry of missfires. Just don't expect the same performance.
