During the winter time when it starts snowing and you have large rims with upgraded brakes. What do you guys do? How do you prepare for this. Do you purchase other rims that are cheaper but can still fit over your upgraded brakes. Give us some pointers.

No big rims here for me, but as hcvone has said in the past there are no snow tires for rims> 17". It looks like those people are SOL unless they have a second vehicle to drive in the really bad snow.

Me and the family love to go to the Smokey Mountains in the winter. I need some sort of a solution. I would rather take the Lade instead of the F-150. The Lade has TV's and X-box for the trip and has storage inside to put the luggage to keep it from the elements.

This is stuff you don't think about when you buy rims. Expecially when you live in Florida. :banghead:

I haven't yet. Waiting for the pool to get finished to see how much money is left. Then the next mods I do will be brakes, the grill, chrome the tow hooks and then maybe the vertical doors.

But if I fall in love with the 07, things will have to change. If not I will keep the 03. I am also trying to talk the wife out of the XLR. She loves that car. I'm not sold on it yet.

I would buy big wheels and tires in a minute but my truck spends a lot of time at construction sites and in deep snow in upstate NY, I need tires with traction, that is why I have the stock size 17" wheels and use Bridgestone Revo tires, amazing traction in deep snow and mud.
