Ok, the other day, I was playing golf, and to make a long story short, i hit one and IT HIT MY CAR!! I was like no way, but yet it did. So now i have a dent about the size of a quarter in the trunk of my car, anyone know any ways to fix it besides paying someone?? Anyone tried that "ding king"??

Ill post a picture later, too lazy to get out the camera and go outside... :D

The worst part was, IT WAS ME!!! I could easily track down someone to have them fix it, but now i dont have anyone to blame but me. The dent is on the top left corner of the trunk.. It isnt too hard to see, but i want to know if anyone knows about an easy way to fix it.

Do you play golf at all??

have we not learned anything from the admin section

Seriously, regardless of if its not a cadillac or not, is there any way it can be fixed easily. I tried looking under the trunk to see if i could hammer it out from the back, but that isnt going to happen, there are some drains or supports there.

Dent Pros? Do you guys have them where you live? I've used them here and been quite happy with the results!

Those ding repair peeps usually charge by the panel. Try to get out for $40.00 or less per panel. If you know anybody who works at a dealership (service advisor or writer) ask them who does theirs. They ALL use them, and they get major discounts, because the average car dealership can keep one of those guys busy at least one day per week. My bud at a local Chevy dealer gets my stuff done for $20.00 per panel. Through a guy who works at a place called Dent Demon or something like that.

Good luck

you mean them "Paintless dent remove"folks? I heard of people using dry ice to do this but think it's just a myth.

I used to do a lot of body work and still use my dent-puller every so often to help out a friend. It's basically a big, powerful suction cup. They're great for large dents but don't do anything for small ones and are down-right useless for anything that is creased.

Ill post a pic of the dent tomorrow, then you all can see if one of those dent things will work, or if im going to have to take it in...

It looks like that ding king would work if the little plunger thing is smaller.

similar thing happened to my old car. how i fixed it:

I was gunna sand it down, bondo it up, then have my buddy respray the trunk.

but...

I was in the junk yard one day looking for a light assembly for a friends car, and what do i see? and I dentical trunk lid to mine.

so to make a long story short, $40 later i had a new trunk that just needed some wax... then 2 weeks later the car took a dump on me and had been parked ever since (2 years now).... but hey, it has a new trunk lid.

Thats nice, but I highly doubt i'll find one. First, Qs are really rare here, and second, i have one of the rarest colors in 94s.

And i dont even know where the nearest junkyard is from here :(

It almost looks like you could fabricate your own ding king with some scrap plastic and some other stuff.....

Dude you starting to sound like me, I go to Home Depot and buy $110 worth of foam to place under a wood floor and this stuff looks no different than the stuff you wrap something in to ship it in a box, then I leave Home Depot after spending money for foam and stop at Burger King and ask for the $1.00 Whopper in the drive thru cause I'm complaining that the meal deal is too expensive.

Come onnnn man you drive a Q (won't hold that against ya) you can afford to play golf and you obviously like your car, so play the 40 bones and have the dent guy come out and fix your ride right, you will spend $120 trying every cheap trick in the book before you realize you should have just spent the $40 to have it fixed and another $80 to fix that horrible slice you got :)

That is true, but I wanted to see if anyone tried something that worked, before I did that. It will be later on, because its not that big, its not something you would notice just like walking by the car....
