This is a Cadillac forum, so obviously, we spend a lot of time discussing the Cadillacs we love or have loved. I've owned one Cadillac, which is my current car. However, I've had some other winners and losers over time. I thought it would be fun to entertain each other with some of our non-Caddy cars we have owned and loved over the years. Note: this in no way indicates that anyone posting thinks that this other car was better or nicer, unless they say so, and then you can feel free to boo and hiss accordingly. This is just other cars you dig or... digged? dug? dugged?
For me, my 1993 Roadmaster has been a great car. Bought it 6 years ago this month. Looks rough and leaks many things, but we've been served well by it. It's got 240,000 on the clock and still runs good. I paid $1800 for it and have invested very little since then - brakes, rear shocks, radiator, battery, brakes, starter.
Also owned a 1993 Lincoln Town Car. The car seemed bulletproof. It was surprisingly fun to drive, rode great (smoothest ride in any car I have owned), got okay gas mileage, and looked okay for it's age. My wife had an accident in it and it died. Again, I paid $1800 for it and drove it three years, only having to replace the rear brakes, do a tune-up, and had a couple rusted brake lines replaced.
1993 Dodge D250. Great truck, ran good, ice cold air, looked like it rolled down a mountain but never failed to start. Should have kept it.
I owned about 24 other cars over the years, good and bad, but I want to hear other people's stories now!
