No love for the XTS-V sport?

Hey guys, just picked up a xts vsport a couple weeks ago, my first Gm product ever. I have come to the realization the xts v is the red headed step child that gets no love or aftermarket support? I was looking for a awd, 4 door sedan that was still sporty, almost bought a s.h.o. But found this car, test drove it and it was a much fit for me. Had planned to soup it up some and play around at the track with it but i cant seem to find a single part for it. Just playing with the tune with it I got a 12.40 @ 112, full weight, 93 octane, so I feel like its no slouch. Am I completely missing why there is no support? Mainly looking for high flow or delete pipes and some sort of intake that might help the 25 degree difference in air temps between banks i am seeing?

Thanks!

Are you using HP tuning software? I've seen some owners fab their own intake tubing. Also,I wonder what swaps over from say the CTS. I'd like to upgrade the brakes as they seem hesitant to slow the 4k lb car down at times. I just got a 16 Premium last week so am new myself. Ive owned GM for the last 10 years but all have been trucks. I ask on FB about direct injection and a catch can and honestly didn't get any input. Licernois offers one though and direct injection, no matter who makes it (GM or Ford) needs this. The intake will be flooded with oil otherwise. Stock exhaust is probably free flowing enough as it usually is from factory. I love how quite it is. Sleeper mode! I read where folks put ATS turbos on if I'm not mistaken. Not sure what benefits come from doing this.

Well i made it to the track today. First pass i got it to build about 3psi on the converter and it blew the tires off in first went 12.45@114. Second pass was 5hrs later due to oil downs, so I didnt want to chance spinning again, launched no boost went 1.89 60’ 12.23 @ 113. It’s got another tenth in it in the 60’ if I can launch it under boost without spinning. Hopefully next year i will have made some downpipes and maybe get an 11.

Well to revive this thread, started driving it again since the weather is getting better. Ordered some custom exhaust flanges for the turbos so I can make some higher flowing down pipes. Paid way too much for them, but should have them in a couple weeks. Then I will pull the cats off and see how much room I am working with to determine the diameter I can go with.

Guys I need help. Yes I was able to make my own cold air intake system for an xts v sport (only the second person to do so). But….I’m having problems. I kinda know what the problem is but It would be nice to have some inside from anyone. Everything is connected, but on the front intake, where I connected the new map sensor housing, the rubber boot ripped. Obviously that messes with with vacuum sensor. Any advice on what I should do? i just put in that vacuum sensor today. A Cadillac tuner told me I could just leave it out but apparently they were wrong because the car ran like absolute shit like that. It screwed around with everything. I hope once I get the boot on everything works right. For some reason I’m having a feeling that it’s not going to work and I might have to set it back to stock, which would really suck because the car sounds amazing with the turbo smart bovs and the intake.

I sent you a PM, interested in what you're doing. Any air leak past the MAF will cause massive drivablity problems. The car is expecting the air it metered. This is why you can't open those bypass valve past 50% without accounting for it with the tune, because the computer is expecting all of the air to be recirculated.

Also, my brother, you need to top off your intercooler loop coolant as I can see from your pictures the reservoir appears empty. If its disappearing you need to check if the electric pump has given its life for the cause, but even if its just low it will get air bubbles into it and cavitate the pump causing IAT spikes and power loss.

I attempted to fix the air boot as I wait for someone on eBay get to me on if he’s selling that part from a parts car. I’ll probably just get a new boot anyway but it’s worth a try to fix. At the moment it’s about 10 degrees hotter each intake, yes. I did a before and after with my hp tuners vcm scanner. But to fix that I’m going to make the left side fake vent by the fog light functional. I’ll be honest I did it to hear the turbos more than for performance. Either way I’m tuning the car soon, but I can’t do that until the car runs right lol. It kills me that something like a cold air intake is causing me so many stupid headaches. But once it’s connected 100% I don’t see why I would have a problem.

Hey I just responded to your pm. Thanks for letting me know about the intercooler coolant being low. So funny how I just had the car getting serviced at Cadillac and they didn’t see that themselves. I’ve been hearing about how these intercooler systems get air in them. I contacted caddyissues about making a custom overflow bleeder tank for the xts like they make for the CTs but no response back yet. Also, for anyone reading this, if you get your v sport oil change at a Cadillac dealer, they don’t know how much oil these cars take. They put 6 quarts in and when I told them it takes 7 they literally yelled at me saying I don’t know what I’m talking about. I pulled the dipstick out and it had no oil on it. They don’t know what they are doing at Cadillac!

I’m wondering if there is anyone other than Livernois working on these things.
I have had a couple Taurus SHOs, and what Livernois does for them is amazing.
For some reason I’m a little hesitant on tuning my XTS.
If the Livernois tune ads 93 WHP, that would put the XTS over 500hp, I’d love that.

I’ve had the livernois tune for over 70,000 miles now. The stock tune is an absolute dog in comparison. I get better gas mileage while cruising and I can spin all four wheels on the 2-3 shift with traction control off if I want to.

the only downside I’ve found is I have to change my plugs every 20k or so but it only takes about an hour. I’ve tried a few different sets and found the absolute best are the OEM ones for the ats-v that replaced the heat range 8 ones we had originally, gapped to 30-32 thou.
