When we took off the old headliner on my 1985 Eldorado we found the original build sheet taped to the car. It is in very good legible condition surprisingly for a 30 year old document. Nice to see all the options on the car and shipping info etc. I'm going to have it laminated with the original window sticker.

That's a new location. They're usually under the front or rear seats, under the carpeting somewhere, under the trunk padding. In my special ordered '65 Chevelle SS it was stuffed into the rear seat pad springs. In a '67 Cougar it was under the spare tire.

I know what you mean, my '03 corvette has it stuffed in the front bumper rail that requires dismantling the front end to get it. Or you can just order one form the museum.
