I will post pics when out of shop. I pulled the trigger on a 2011 V sedan black/black 6 speed, to go along with my '08 Z06. Absolutely love the car but haven't been able to enjoy it at 300 miles had the supercharger rattle and squeaky seat. Dealer was on top of things and fixed both issues. Had it back for a day and WHAM I was rear-ended by an 18 y/o high school student. Back in the shop. I was feeling sorry for myself until I read the thread where someone had their brand new wagon plowed into.

I hope the rest of my ownership goes smoother. For now I think I will daily drive the Z and track the V (make the Z look like a hybrid with the MPG)

How did they fix your squeaky seat?
I took mine in for two different squeaks last year Shade. They took the seat back off, added some thin foam to the contact areas and it perfect. The lumbar thing also stopped working on the drivers seat so I had that fixed at the same time. Man, I've had my car in a lot but don't care. All small stuff.

Both issues were covered under warranty- the car only has 400 miles. When I noticed the rattle the service manager knew right away what it was. He said it was his third case so far. They ordered a whole new supercharger. I thought it was just an isolator issue. I wonder if there is a new TSB. As far as the seat goes, I got the explination of not enough "grease from the factory". Havent had a chance to test their fix as I was rear-ended shortly after.

Well I got the V back today. It ended up being around a 4G repair ultimately. Car looks pretty good considering. The entire supercharger was replaced and there currently is no rattle. However, the seats are squeaking again. They are the Recaros. I wonder if I should bring it back again or just live with it... I bought the car on 2/28 and have driven a total of 5 days.

Any opinions?

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Your handling it better than I would. I guess there are bound to be some issues with some cars but hopefully your dealer will make it right. Best of luck!

Shoot, I'd be a twin to the Fukushima plant by this point. (I'm not joking in the slightest) I'm really starting to get cold feet with all of the pan roof issues (I could just order without it), and others. Given your issues, there is no "ordering around" those. It may just be Denali HD time...

I wouldn't go that far, order one with out a sunroof, not all cars make noises, my coupe is quiet, haven't had any problems and it sure is more fun to drive than a Denali, just my .02$

Right now I am torn.

I think this car is so f***ing fun, I have every bell and whisle, it goes like stink, it is a true 6 speed, it's American, it fits the kids. And the little rattles and squeaks are not a big deal when a car is a couple of years old. But a brand new 65k shouldn't have so many issues. Heck my Z06 doesn't rattle as bad and those seats suck.

Right now I am looking at three options.

1. Deal with it and keep the car. My dealer has been solid so far but I wonder what is coming down the pipe. (leaking roof, fragile paint etc...)

2. Keep hounding dealer and perhaps GM until seats are quiet and my A/C doesn't rattle. This option sounds like its more trouble than it's worth.

3. Take the hit and trade it for an Lexus ISF... I have test driven it several times. Solid car, impeccable build quality, same amount of options. Worry free. But no where near as fun, fast and no manual option avail...

The peace of mind is tempting....

I'm a Lexus fan and the IS-F would still not even remotely be in the cards for me if I had the choice between that and a V. If we were talking an M or AMG product, possibly. But not an IS-F. I would just deal with the issues as they come, at some point they have to stop.

Three kids, 8 y/o twins and a newborn. They fit comfortably but the car seat has to go one the left or right not center. Luckily the girl is small enough to fit in the middle. I have the ultraview roof so hopefully she won't get wet when it rains:bonkers:

cool! so your infant is in the middle & the twins are outboard? what kind/combination of carseats/boosters are you using?

i'm thinking about trying to put my newborn behind me, my 5y.o. facing forward in the middle, & my 16m.o. rear-facing behind my wife/passenger (we have a cross-over/SUV as well). thanks!

I find that the V has great leg room for the driver, and I'm 6'2". BUT, don't try and sit behind me, even if you are 3yrs old. The seat is just inches from touching the back seat...

I am 5'10'', rear facing infant seat that goes behind mom with about two inches of clearance. I am using a Graco rear facing seat. The twins sit next to each other- The V has a middle shoulder beat which is cool. When the infant gets older she is getting one of those RECARO car seats so she can have matching seats with daddy. (If I don't light the car on fire in rage by then):hmm:
