GM has released a new bulletin to address the torque converter shudders, bulletin TSB 18-NA-355. Dealers will perform an updated flush procedure with a new Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP. Dealers in priority states should receive the updated tool kit and fluid late January- February. Friend of mine in a different state said GM told them March.

My service manager told me when they did my first TSB (175) they thought they used the correct fluid that is in the current TSB (355). When he compared them they are both the same name (Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP) however on further inspection the part numbers are different. He researched the part numbers and found the newer part number is not the same fluid even though it has same name. It's a different formulation. He even brought the older formulation out to show me.
If you take your car into the dealership advise them of this because they may have some of the older fluid around and by name it's correct. They need to verify the part number.
Do you know the 2 different part numbers? Mine is in now getting it done, want to make sure they didn't use the wrong fluid.
