Hey all, I have a 1997 STS with 175,000 miles on it. The car rides a little soft for a STS. The struts are original and appear to be in good condition, but while I was riding in an 96' Eldy and noticed the suspension didnt have as much bounce as mine. The tires are similar in both cars. Also I get a Stability Reduced error some times when I start to accelerate from a dead stop. Any idea's?

Since you have an STS, the conversion to a passive system is a little more tricky. You will need to plug the air hoses and bypass the electrical stability system with resistors. They sell the conversion on ebay for around $200 a pair.

Wow, 175K.. I am impressed! And I thought I drove too much!

FYI, If you choose to go with the OEM struts, you are looking at over $1K in parts!!!
I admit I have done some real driving. I put so many miles on this car is seems like a second home sometimes. I wouldnt have it any other way. The car doesnt burn oil, drives like a charm, and hasnt let me down yet. This is by far the best car I have ever purchased. I just gotta get these struts replaced, I notice it more and more every day.
