Decided to replace the front door speakers , and the rear deck speakers.
Went with pioneer 6.5 inch 260 watt 4 ways up front (PN: TS-A1681R)
and Alpine 6x9 3 way 250 watt units in the back (PN: SPS-690A) of coarse you have to do some drilling in the back , stock units are snap ins , 4 holes each side after removing the rear seat and parecl shelf cover , also saved myself some trouble and got the wire harness adpaters from best buy for the 94 deville.
Install went smoothly , gained ALOT of sound quality , as these are combined with the Kenwood reciver i had put in a year ago .....
Consulting the factory manual for removal instructions for the rears i found that there are provisions in the rear doors for additional 6.5 inch speakers ...
So the questions i have now :
#1 is there a amp thats around 200 watt that i can run from the reciver then to the factory harness to power all the speakers? apprently the kenwood 50x4 may not be enough ...
#2 is there such thing as a 6.5 inch subwoofer ? it would be very slick to install 2 6.5 inch subs in the rear doors , powering them with yet another amp to gain the rest of the "lows"....
#3 should i leave the factory tweeders hooked up ? they are seperate units int he doors , but im wondering if they should be unplugged at this point ...
