Well 3 weeks ago a I was driving thru the woods and coming up around a sharp turn. When entering the turn a guy in a Vitara was coming towards me halfway across the yellow line. So to avoid a head on crash I swerved and smashed into the guard rail, and spun the truck around. The road is very narow, and it was raining. The guy never even stopped. I was almost home so I kept driving incase a wheel would have went flat I wanted to make it out of the woods. So while it was in the shop I had the truck custom painted to match the bezel around my Strut Grille. It looks much better in person than in the pics.

I have a few more pieces to get done while Im away. I am off to Los Angeles this thursday till next wednesday with my girl. She has to fly back for another taping. So look out for my girl on MTV's reality show "I wanna be Paris Hilton's new BFF- Season 2" Her name is Kristen. She is in a few pics on here on the forum. Im not sure when it starts airing, but it should be soon.

The next pieces to be marblized:

1. The black trim that surrounds the door handles.
2. The lower portion of the front bumper, where the line starts.
3. The black ends of the roof racks
4. The hood has 2 sections that flow into the grille
5. The rings around the rear parking sensors.
6. The storage compartments, and the triangle moldings next to the storage doors.
7. The interior is getting a complete makeover. All the wood will be marblized. The seats will be done with two tone black/? leather
8. Suade headliner
9. Im on the fence whether I I should buy a new set of 26"s witha big lip. Ill either marblize the face or the lip. I already have 2 sets of these same 26"s that are in the pics, a set of 2008 factory 22"s, and a set of 08 factory chrome 18"s with Nitto Dune Grappler Snow/All terrain tires
(There may be a few more parts but cant think of them

Ive had so many compliments on the truck. Some people are amazed and cant believe its real paint. It turned out very nice. The pearl in it really comes out in the light. I cant wait to complete this truck.

I have not lowered the truck myself, but someone mentioned that to me the other day. The guy who had it before me had 23"s on it so I dont know if he lowered it or not. I never really looked into it.

To each his own. if you like it, that's all that matters. I personally think you just ruined the truck. What's next alligator skin headliner and ostrich skin seats?
and whats up with the fuel door? Did they mess up and paint the whole thing?

Everyone who has seen the truck in person loves it. No one messed anything up. The fuel door was removed and marblized. I actually had a dealer at the auction beg me to sell h my truck for a very nice offer but I declined. It's really hard to see the detail in pics. I am 110% happy with the outcome. This is a 6k custom job that I paid 0 for so I'm extra happy!

This is obviously a paint job you'd need to see in person to truly get the whole picture, but to me it makes your truck look like an Avalanche.

I also think that the whole fuel door being painted throws off the body line that the rest of the scheme follows.

Is it pretty subtle in person, or is it as drastic of a "two-tone" as it appears in the pics?

I wouldn't paint the lips of my wheels either it were my truck. But I'd still like to see how it comes out on yours.

I assume everyone made out without injuries in this wreck? That's the most important thing.

How did you get the asanti symbol on the kmc dimes? My bro has the dimes in black on his denali and I thought he might like to know. Close to the AF 128s you know.

You have to break off the tabs on the caps then 3m double side the backs. BTW the reason I put the caps on is I have a Lexus coupe with Asantis on it and the dimes look identical so I wanted my truck and car to match. I personally would NEVER buy another set of Asantis ever again. The chrome bubbles and peels easily. They leak air so I have had 3 of the 4 wheels re-sealed, and replaced 2 lips. They are definitly not worth the money. However the newer centercaps are nice looking.

The gas cap looks good it does not throw off the body line because the gas door has the line thru it. It definitly is must see truck. It def can't be mistaken for a Avalanche.

Like I said, it's likely a paint job most appreciated in person.
