Well.....I have 50 miles on the meter in my new Escalade Premium ! ...as I note earlier, I traded in a 2013 MB GL450. The Escalade is more "truck like ". ...and I like that. It feels "massive and planted" on the road. At the same time....the Escalade interior feels and looks more "luxurious and comfortable" than the Benz. The CUE system is wonderful!! What you say? After 8'yrs of MB idea of how to interact with your vehicle.....I find CUE to be so much simpler and more intuitive! The 2nd row chairs could use a bit more padding.....but the fact that they ARE chairs beats the Benz! The Benz does beat the Slade on the third row.....on the Benz, adults can actually sit pretty comfortably back there., IF they can get back there .....much easier on the Caddy because of the captain chair 2nd row....but the 3rd row on this vehicle is strictly a kid zone.

Operationally ......the V8 in the Esclade is beautiful.....power and sound are nice! The V8 in my GL was a twin turbo.....nice power, but not as much as the Caddy and it didn't sound like "American iron!" I was worried about the various problems that have appeared here with vibration /buffeting issues so I payed close attention , drove at speeds up to 75...no issues.....now that being said, each of the three GL's I have owned have had some vibration "feel" to the ride even after all,the road force balancing , tire replacement, etc. So....I am used to the fact that low profile tires are going to,present some of that ...and the bigger they are the more they are going to be felt. I could feel "some " ride vibration but no worse and maybe even less than similar situations in the GL. Adaptive cruise, blind spot and all that stuff worked just as well as on the GL......the 360 cam system: Some folks have not been happy.....well folks, the 360 cam system in the Escalade is the same in quality and function as the vehicle I just traded , so I am NOT unhappy, it is very helpful when manuevering, and yes both are useless at night! ..before I traded the Benz, I was notified that there was a "software upgrade" coming to improve the picture quality, I would not be surprised if the components of the 360 systems are supplied by the same company to various automobile manufacturers

So far.....I'm thinking I made the right decision! I do have one knick in the Kona leather that I am taking it back to the dealer to look at.....they have already said they will do whatever it takes up to,and including replacing the entire seat cover!

Will see how the next few miles add to the picture!

Congrats on your purchase. I just got mine last Monday and have accrued 200 enjoyable miles to the dealer. Why, because I just had the xpel ultimate installed today and it looks awesome.
