I just got a 2003 CTS yesterday and I was wondering what can I add to it? I would like a navigation/dvd/cd player with an amp and two 12s. Any suggestions on brands or where to install it at? I dont want to remove the factory radio since it does all that other stuff with the car. What should i do?

Also the car came with aftermarket exhaust... they are dual pipes and it says E&G Classic on the square tips. Anyone ever heard of those?

It also has aftermarket rims but they arent very good quality and are only 17s. Any suggestions on a good size? I was thinking 20s.

I was also thinking about adding remote start to the factory keyless entry, have any of you tried that? Had any problems?

Thanks so much!

Ok ok ok, slow down, too many questions. I the best way for you to get started would be to use the "search" function and start typing in key words. I know there have been many threads on all the subjects you just asked about. Once you start to figure out the basics, you can start threads on the specifics, and you'll get information that is much more beneficial.

Some suggested key search terms:
DVD/NAV swap
aftermarket exhaust (borla, corsa, V-exhaust)
aftermarket wheels
remote start
JL clean sweep

There is also another site, www.cadillacfaq.com that you might want to check out. That is more of a how-to type of thing but can also be helpfull when you're trying to figure out the feasability of different mods.

I'm not big on radios but there's lots of information here, aftermarket head units aren't typical to install though, so I've seen. A stock DVD nav is the route most people take

Humm, I didn't know E&G made aftermarket exhausts, I thought they only made tips, but if it's really a dual exhaust system it must be some kind of aftermarket maybe a 3.6L exhaust with E&G tips?

Everyone has thier own likes and dislikes, i'm not a 20 fan myself, I think 18" rims are perfect for the car and don't sacrifice too much ride quality, plus depending on where you live, 20" rims may make winter a bitch

I only think a few people have done this to thier CTS, you generally need a new system and remote all togther, plus the CTS has PassKey III which is a theft immobilizer device, it needs to be bypassed, or tricked into starting. I'm not a fan as I feel like it would make your car easier to steal, but that's just my opinion.

Feel free to search for more info there are tons of threads here :) Good Luck with your new CTS
