Just checking in! Bought a used 2006 Infrared CTS-V w/ 600 miles last week in Springfield, Mo.

I bought the CAGS before I bought the car and installed the Magnaflow today.

Still learning the functions and such.

Q: Is there competetion mode for the 06+ or is it just "stability system off"?

Greetings and :welcome: to the V and the Cadillac forum.

All the Vs should be able to enter Competitive Driving Mode if the car is configured correctly.

Edit-

Competitive Driving Mode (CTS-V)
The driver can select this optional handling mode
by pressing the Traction Control button on the steering
wheel twice within five seconds. COMPETITIVE
DRIVING will be displayed in the DIC. Competitive
driving mode allows the driver to have control of
the power applied to the rear wheels, while the
StabiliTrak® system helps steer the vehicle by selective
brake application. In competitive mode, the levels at
which StabiliTrak® is engaged have been modified
to better suit a performance driving environment. When
the traction control warning light is on, the Traction
Control System will not be operating. Adjust your
driving accordingly.
When you press the Traction Control button again, or
turn the ignition to ACCESSORY, the Traction Control
System will be on. The traction engaged symbol will
be displayed temporarily in the DIC and a chime
will be heard.

For competitive driving mode press the tc button 2 or 3 times. To turn the whole stability system off hold it down for 5 seconds.

Congrats on the Magnaflow...I recently got Magnaflow installed on mine as well. I love the sound!

Why dont you go get it dyno'd...i had a recent unfortunate incident there. Interested to see what another LS2 w/magnaflow will put up.

Welcome and excellent color selection.
Seems like you're on top of your MODS.
Go ahead and hit Luke up at Lindsay for a UUC short throw shifter.
You won't regret it.

Don't forget the bushings, Much easier to change out when you have the shifter out and well worth the 30 bucks.

On your way to Mod Hell, not a bad place to be and you have plenty of company here.

Damn the torpedos......no baby steps.......just go ahead and get the cam, headers, heads, wheel hop kit and UUC shifter. It will take a jack hammmer to get the smile off your face.:cool2:

Why not put a magggie on top of that! All that power and the whine of the super charger... If that won't get you going, nothing will!

Thanks for the Competive Driving Mode tips!

I was going to get the UUC shifter, but not too keen on lowering the tranny just yet. I thought it would quite a bit easier than the directions seem to make it.

I do plan on supercharging the car, I currently have a high 11- low 12 sec Pontiac Grand Prix GTP and traded in a 04 Ion Redline on the Caddy. I do miss the SC, but the Magna flow is making it quite easy to forget. Only took me about 1.5 hours to knock it out. That was on a drive on lift though. There is little to no doubt that I will be doing a cam and heads here some time. I have also read good things about the Textrailia clutch and fywheel., Probably do that and the shifter together.

My next mod will more than likely be the Spectre Works spoiler, if they will include Infrared on the group buy.

Q: Are most of you guys running the BMR anti-wheel hop kit (the $850 kit) or or the KARS set up ($550)? Do many people even have the KARS set up yet?
