I'm waiting with baited breath since the Lexus has their new one too in this class, but seems heavier than heck though. Jeremy Clarkson slammed it bad the other night.

Oh the RC-F? That thing is a joke. Weighs two tons and understeers. You know it's bad when reviewers tell you specifically not to buy it. Here's the Chris Harris review, he says pretty much the same thing, but admits it's a decent road car - just don't take it to a track, or near corners really. The ATS-V has nothing to worry about in terms of competition there.

Does the ATS-V have "enhanced" engine noise in the cabin? If not It sounds pretty good for a V-6 and a whole lot better than the M3. I might even change my mind if the reviews are excellent.

I don't understand the need for it, but admit to never experiencing it.

Excerpt from the C&D article:

"As with many modern performance engines, the LF4’s vocals are accompanied by recordings played through the audio system’s speakers."

Car and Driver are flat wrong and need to do their homework better BMW uses recordings in the cabin Cadillac does not what Cadillac does use is BOSE ACTIVE SOUND MANAGEMENT...the difference is the sounds you hear are real and this is used because cars have gotten so quiet Cadillac is using triple sealed doors, laminated glass, quiet steel, active engine mounts, textile wheel liners, active noise canceling, as well as traditional sound deadening...and with all this they know people like to hear what the car is doing so with the bose system there are mics in the engine bay used to electronically get past all the anti noise tech.

whichever side you come down on the pro/cons of the Bose system know what's really happening and in my opinion it's worlds better than BMW because we are starting with real noise and hearing real noise just indirectly

This would be the ONLY way I'd even consider a car with sound "enhancement". Knowing that the sounds I'm hearing are coming from a recording would completely ruin the driving experience.
