New Headlight assembly - have questions

Hello everyone, this is my first time posting here so I apologize if I’m not in the right place

A while back I purchased a set of new headlight assemblies for my 2005 Escalade EXT.

The product said that I just needed to transfer over the HID bulb and ballast.

where is the ballast located and should the battery be disconnected when transferring it over to the new housing?

A separate issue that came up also the other day was that I noticed my nighttime headlight is out. This is the HID bulb . Since I’m replacing the entire assembly and need to transfer over the bulb and ballast how do I find out if the ballast is bad or if the HID bulb had burned out? The daytime running lights work, the high beams work but just not the night time bulb.

below is a link to the headlight

It came with all bulbs except for hid bulb and ballast. Those are supposed to be transferred over and that leads to the question that I posted
Thank you for trying. I know that HID Bulb And ballast need to be transferred to the new housing. Just looking for someone to tell me the instructions on how
Thank you. This is perfect information. Regarding the disconnecting of the ballast wire to the HID bulb, is there a spot where I remove the cable from the bulb? Should the battery disconnected while doing any of this?
