Hello,
I'm new to this site but not to Cadillac, I am G.M. friendly with one of each.
I am currently looking at a 1994 De Ville. It has a Nothstar with 122000 miles on it. It has a small oil leak and the A.C. is not blowing cold. when I look at this car what other issues or problems do these cars have that I should be aware of ? Also what is the life expectancy of these cars provided they were taken care of ? Thanks for the help.

'94 Deville has a 4.9 (not a Northstar), which is very relaiable.

I had (now daughter has) a '92 Deville - I had to replace the suspension (four shocks) and that motor that controls the load leveling based on weight. That was a bit pricey but it was a 13 year old car when I did it and she hasn't given me or my daughter an issue since. The 4.9 is built well as others have mentioned.

If it is a concours it has the northstar, if its the base then the 4.9L. If its the 4.9, it has alot better life expentency than the northstar. Just keep in mind, nothing on the deville is cheap to repair or replace.
