That's a personal record...

Titles misleading.
NEVER MIND :(

Found out the record is 1.27
mine are:

.82 ....... () ........ .84

I take the turns like a grandpa...
mine is 1.02 i think.. damn dealer reset mine one day
1.27 is pretty high. I'll have to take a picture of mine and poast it up....

I cheat on the G meter though... so my results don't count.
hmm.. how do you cheat the g meter?
Well when people post up G #s they are usually talking about traction while cornering. I went to a track, when you break the back end loose and power it around a corner, then let it hook sideways it jerks the crap out of the car when the tires bite and you start going in whatever line the car is pointing in.....and the G meter goes nuts. Usually that's not what people are after though when you talk about cornering and grip and such....
^Beat me to it. No CTS-V will hold 1.12 or 1.27g without MAJOR modifications. And by MAJOR, I don't mean bolt-ons.
Another way to get a high G reading would be to go sideways into a wall/tree/building/truck/whatever. Not recommended, though. :D

EDIT: Speaking of G readings, my 21-year-old son came home to live. My booze started to disappear, so I had to put it all in a box and hide it somewhere. You guessed it: it's in the trunk of my V. Heard it clinkin' around back there the other day, so I need a plan B.
yeah I don't think I've ever "really" gotten over 1.0 w/o breaking it loose. (I'm not a maniac BTW, I don't do smoke shows on highway onramps or anything) I took a picture on my camera phone after that track/parking lot day... I'll see if I can dig it up.
So Naf, if you pulled that through a corner I think that's pretty impressive..... I think that's what my rambling is supposed to be stating.

You know what's funny? I opened this thread expecting to see a 1.95g reading, followed by a car wrapped around a tree.

Seriously.

Randy, I got a huge wallsafe from a bank off ebay. it was a night drop box into the vault... the thing is a Diebold. That'll cure your problem.

Yeah, that'd work. ... or a big-ass party.
You got a trunk full of blue label? Where exactly do you live again? :)
i've had 1.21 with stock suspension... it was scary...
Naf, that reading is very high unless you got loose, and it spiked. Don't wanna burst your bubble, but it may be your steering position sensor (like when your car suddenly pulled to the right). Heavy had the same thing. His G meter read like 1.01, and he was sure he didn't turn that hard.
It can be missleading. I wouldn't want you to go off road trying to get it higher, if it's not an accurate reading.

My best at the track was 1.21, but I'm sure that was a spike. I prefer when I don't get those crazy high Gs. I think it shows that I'm driving smoother.
Best on the street was high .9s. It was a wide on ramp, and I think I was doing over 70. I'm sure it didn't slip, so I don't think it spiked.
BTW I always reset my G meter. I'd rather know how hard I took the last turn, than what I did six months ago.

After my V II day the G meter read 1.16 and 1.21 on full stock suspension but plenty of power adders.

Coming home from V - day I took the crapy pic of the reading.
