it may be unrelated but a week ago i had the fuel pump replaced. now i am getting a check gas cap message. and a strong smell of gas at the filler cap door. the cap looks ok and is on tight. i have read about a few possibilities on the forum. should be as simple as a new gas cap?

A lot of times it's the smallest thing that ruins a big fix. I'm glad you got it figured out and fixed so easily!!!
